airtime Studio S1

Studio appliance and web app for video

The airtime Studio S1 is the next generation of airtime's video studio: a device on an RK3588 that mixes two cameras and an HDMI input live, cuts the presenter out and outputs the picture as a webcam. It is controlled through app.airtime.swiss, with a library, an editor, a teleprompter and live shows.

Problem

People who explain, teach or sell need good video, not a crew. Today's airtime studio on wheels shows it can be done. The next step is a device that cuts out, mixes and outputs on its own, without a green screen and without a computer beside it.

02

Approach

The device runs its own compositor in C++; the cut-out runs on the RK3588's neural processor. Android is hidden entirely; the device boots straight into the studio. Recordings reach the computer over a secured pairing and land in the library on app.airtime.swiss. There, an editor works from the transcript, a teleprompter follows the voice, and live shows bring callers, AI show planning and streaming to YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram.

03

Outcome

The S1 runs as a prototype on development boards, at 30 frames per second in 1080p once the heatsink has a fan. The web app is live at app.airtime.swiss.
